Cinderella

Why see Cinderella?

You shall go to the ball

Get ready to be swept away by the twinkling timelessness of Cinderella, Rodgers and Hammerstein's definitive rags-to-happy-ending story that has charmed and inspired audiences all over the world since its first broadcast with the legendary Julie Andrews on CBS in 1957. Don't miss this glorious Holiday production from Walnut Street Theatre, which is set to be an opulent affair with high-spirited choreography, stunning costumes, and a soundtrack of R&H's best songs.

What is the story?

Poor Ella leads a miserable life of servitude under her wicked stepmother and unsympathetic stepsisters. Every day she dreams of escaping her chores and finding love. Her prayers are answered in the form of her Fairy Godmother, who turns up just in time to magically make her over in time for the ball. There's only one condition, she must be home before midnight. When she leaves behind her glass slipper, she is sought by the Prince, who will stop at nothing to find the mysterious Cinderella...
